Welcome!

This one-day academic integrity colloquium will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018, on the Trinity Western University's campus in Langley, BC, Canada.

The colloquium is designed to bring together academic colleagues including faculty members, administrators, librarians, technical staff and others to share perspectives and insights on topics related to academic integrity. We look forward to seeing you at the colloquium and having you participate in the dialogue.

What is academic integrity?

Academic integrity usually brings to mind rules related to cheating, plagiarism, and the correct citation of sources. However, academic integrity encompasses much more, including:

  • a work ethic that leads to excellence

  • honesty in academic-related activities

  • a sense of obligation to academic and social communities

  • a recognition of diverse opinions and perspectives

  • moral and ethical competencies that incorporate the principles above
